Directions: Apply liberally 15 minutes before sun exposure. Reapply every 2 hours or after swimming/sweating. Ensure all exposed skin is covered, including ears, nose, and lips. Use in conjunction with other sun protection measures. Do not use on broke or damaged skin.
Active ingredients are FDA-approved.
The active ingredients are: Avobenzone (3%) – Protects against UVA rays, which contribute to skin aging and skin cancer. It's one of the few UVA filters approved in the U.S. - Homosalate (10%) – Primarily protects against UVB rays (sunburn). - Octocrylene (10%) – Protects against UVB and helps stabilize avobenzone so it works better in sunlight. - Octisalate (5%) – Adds additional UVB protection.
Note: If you regularly experience skin problems such as eczema or your skin is highly sensitive to traditional sun screens, a mineral type of sunscreen containing zinc oxide (or zinc oxide plus titanium dioxide) could be a better option for very sensitive skin types.
