WIGI - Member Newsletter Seven

Dear WIGI Members - ...

But first a big thanks for our newsletter sponsor, PGA Fall Expo. The mentions at the top will convert to some bonuses for those who attend the WIGI Annual Meeting in Pinehurst. A BIG thanks to Gail Billingsley for her support. I'm sure many members will be attending the Orlando show, too.

MaryJo Burke of Chix with Stix, Membership Chairperson, attended the Reno PGA Expo and handed out over 100 membership invitations. Way to go Mary Jo! We are anticipating that many women will want to join our new organization.

Laurie Stulberg of Meritsoft Golf is working on setting up a website and we will have some news on that early in September. So stay tuned, and thanks Laurie. In the meantime, please check for information on the ladygolf.com site, thanks to Karen Cant'rell, Pres and CEO.

The big reminder for this month is to get your WIGI Meeting Reservation forms into Tiare Peck, Meeting Chairperson. You can mail or email it to Tiare Peck -Email Tiare Here! ( or to me with your credit card information. ) -Email Kathy Bissell Here! reservations MUST be in hand by September 1st, so don't delay. We have a small block of rooms reserved, and after that, it's first come, first served.

Alyson Ramsey of the New Jersey State Golf Assn, assures me that the activites are coming together. And we have arranged for a wine tasting from Tour player David Frost's vineyards.

I may not have put in the correct request for golf on the original reservation form - I believe I left out the Monday afternoon golf opportunity - but you will be able to arrange golf on Monday after our block of rooms is secured. It is Pinehurst and golf is happening. We will have more news on activities next month, including information on golf.
